Shayne Michael's: Recommended LA Comics | Comedian Bios
These comics don't know they're here and haven't
asked. I am not listing them because they're "friends". I list them purely because while
I was a booker or observer they displayed an abundance of talent and professionalism.
I get nothing from these recommendations and don't want anything. However,
since so many bookers have asked: "Who would I seek out?" Here's a list is in no
particular order.
Recommended Comics That Have No Websites
- Bob Oshack: Amazing At Improv. Exceptionally Professional
- Jeff Wilcox: Low Energy, But A Great Writer
- Dana Snow: Very Good Writer
- Derrick Jackson: Haven't Seen In A While, Always Had Good Sets
- Jim Ryan: The Only LA Comic With A Darker Sense Of Humor Than Mine
In my humble opinion these are some of the better LA comics.
There are funnier comics that I've excluded. If I feel they're funnier but left them out it's
probably because they're an asshole; Or, I haven't worked with them as a booker so I'm not
qualified to comment on them as a booker. Within the list above I have never booked Rosie Tran,
Earl, Oshack or Jackson. But I'm comfortable enough from watching them interact with other comics,
audiences and bookers to vouch that they are just as professional as any comic I had often at
Novel.
